WHY HITECH FOR SIDING

Your home's exterior deserves more than just a fresh coat of paint.

Quality siding does a lot more than make your home look good. It protects the structure underneath from moisture, wind, and the freeze-thaw cycles that come with Shenandoah Valley winters. The right siding, installed correctly, can also improve your home's energy efficiency and add real value.

As a siding contractor serving Augusta County since 1991, HiTech has installed and repaired exterior siding on hundreds of homes and businesses across the Valley. Bill is involved on every job, and the crew that shows up at your house is the same crew that shows up at every other house we work on.

Need siding work alongside your roofing project? HiTech handles both, so you're not coordinating between separate contractors or waiting on two different schedules.

Transparent pricing, no surprises

You'll get a clear price before any work begins. No change orders mid-project, no charges you didn't agree to. Just straight, honest pricing for the work your home needs.

VINYL SIDING

Vinyl Siding Installation & Replacement

Vinyl siding is the most popular exterior siding choice for homeowners across the Shenandoah Valley, and for good reason. It's durable, low-maintenance, and available in a wide range of colors and profiles to match any home's style. HiTech installs and replaces vinyl siding for residential and commercial properties throughout Augusta County.

Vinyl siding holds up well against the elements and won't rot, warp, or need painting. Once it's installed correctly, it largely takes care of itself for decades.

COMPOSITE SIDING

Composite Siding for a Premium Exterior Finish

Composite siding offers the look of wood or natural materials with significantly better durability and lower maintenance requirements. It stands up to moisture, insects, and impact better than traditional wood siding, making it an excellent long-term choice for homeowners who want a premium exterior without the upkeep.

If you're looking for a high-end look that holds up over time, composite siding is worth the conversation. Bill will walk you through whether it's the right fit for your home and budget.

SIDING REPAIR & RESTORATION

Siding Repair That Fixes the Problem, Not Just the Surface

Cracked, warped, or missing siding panels aren't just an aesthetic problem. Damaged exterior siding can allow moisture to get behind the wall, leading to rot, mold, and structural issues that are far more expensive to fix later. HiTech's siding contractors diagnose what's actually causing the problem and fix it properly.

Not every siding issue calls for a full replacement. If a repair will handle it, we'll tell you that and do the repair. We'd rather keep your existing siding going than push you into a replacement you don't need.

HITECH CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Real Reviews From Real Neighbors

Most of HiTech's work still comes from referrals and repeat customers. Here's why.

Bill Welch is amazing I called him for a leak in our house and he was right on telling me what the problem was and he fixed it. You can call him and always calls you back quickly. I would recommend him highly

Hi Tech Siding did an amazing job replacing our roof. Bill is very knowledgeable on roof materials, installation and was able to answer the many questions we had about switching from shingles to a standing seam roof. This is one of the best experiences we’ve ever had with a contractor. They showed up on time, covered all of the bushes, deck and yard where old roofing and nails may fall off while removing the old roof. They finished before the estimated time as well as went over and above by adding blocking between the rafters for our powered awning to mount to. When you hire Bill and crew you won’t be disappointed!

Todd S.

Bill showed up right away (literally 5 minutes after calling him) after our roof was damaged in a storm. He handled the estimate and dealt with our insurance company. His crew showed up on time on the day promised and completed the roof replacement faster than promised. Left our house and yard cleaner than when they arrived! Would 100% recommend them to any one in need of exterior repairs on there home.

SIDING FAQ

Common Questions From Shenandoah Valley Homeowners

Straight answers to what most people want to know before they call.

How much does new siding cost?

Siding costs vary based on your home's size, the material you choose, and the complexity of the installation. Vinyl siding is the most budget-friendly option, while composite siding costs more upfront but lasts longer. Bill will come out, assess your home, and give you a transparent price based on what it actually needs rather than a ballpark estimate off a script.

How long does vinyl siding last?

Quality vinyl siding typically lasts 20 to 40 years with proper installation and minimal maintenance. Composite siding can last 25 to 50 years depending on the product. The key to longevity is correct installation from the start, which is where a lot of cheaper jobs fall short.

Should I repair my siding or replace it?

If the damage is limited to a few panels, a repair is usually the smarter move. If your siding is showing widespread cracking, warping, fading, or moisture damage across large sections, a replacement will likely be more cost-effective in the long run. We'll give you an honest assessment after taking a look, not a recommendation based on the bigger ticket.

What's the difference between vinyl and composite siding?

Vinyl siding is made from PVC plastic and is the most widely used exterior siding material. It's affordable, low-maintenance, and available in many styles. Composite siding is made from a blend of materials like wood fiber and cement or resin, giving it a more natural look with better durability. Composite generally costs more but holds up better to impact and weather over time.

Can you match existing siding for a repair?

In most cases, yes. We can source color-matched panels for targeted repairs so the patched area blends with the rest of your home. The closer your existing siding is to current production colors and profiles, the easier it is to match. Bill will let you know upfront if there's any variation to expect.

Do you handle siding and roofing together?

Yes, and that's one of HiTech's biggest advantages. Since we handle roofing, siding, gutters, windows, and decks, you don't need to bring in separate contractors for each trade. One call, one crew, one schedule. It makes the whole process significantly easier to manage.
